One Word Challenge 2019
Happy New Year! It is that time again; many people make resolutions or set goals. For the last 5 years, I have participated in the One Word Challenge. You choose one word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live the following year. Past years, I have chosen intentional, soar, hope, depth and faithful. I want to share with you my word for this new year.
My word for 2019 is Expectant.
I want to have expectant faith for 2019. To be completely honest with you, God showed up in 2018 and blew my mind away. A theme last year was “In awe of God in 2018.” I want to live expectantly knowing God has a plan for my life, and He going to show up again this year in ways I never thought possible. I want to live full of expectation of what God is going to do in me and through me. He has created all of us with a purpose and I am excited to live my purpose this next year!
The past couple years, I usually choose a second word. This year, restore and redeem kept appearing in my journal and what I am reading. God wants to redeem my brokenness and restore what was lost. I once again get excited to see how this will play out in 2019. I live in holy expectation that I will be in awe of God again this next year.
What is your word for 2019?
I want to encourage you to choose a word for next year. Where does God want you to focus? I would love to hear so please share in the comments below.
Love, Jodi
