5 Favorite Faith Children’s Books With Great Christian Messages

On the Depth Podcast, I did a two-part episode about my favorite children’s book with strong Christian messages! I highly recommend listening to hear more in depth about these amazing books. I wanted to create a quick list for each episode so you can easily check them all out as well as add them to my favorites section on my website!

Praying these books create great conversations in your home and help your kids grow deeper roots in their faith! I know they were some of the favorites in my home!

1. *You Are Special by Max Lucado

In this book, Max focuses on how God created each of us special! We do not need to focus on what others think about us, only what God says about us! If you never read one of the Wemmick books, you will definitely want to check this book out.

2. *Your Special Gift by Max Lucado

Another great one by Max Lucado starring the Wemmicks. God has given each of us gifts to help others grow deeper in their faith. This story reminds us not to wish we had someone else’s gifting, but instead to lean into how God made us unique.

3. *It Will Be Okay by Lysa Terkeurst

Our kids will struggle with worry and transitions, so this book is a great tool to remind us that God has a plan for us beyond what we can understand! We just have to trust Him in the middle of uncertainty.

I took this book to Rwanda on a missions trip back in 2015 and read it to the children there with a translator’s help. It is such a powerful book! One of my personal favorites!

4. *Win or Lose I Love You! by Lysa Terkeurst

Learning to be a good sport is challenging for kids. We want our kids to win with grace as well as be able to lose with dignity. This book will help teach those life lessons.

5. Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions for Kids

If you are looking for a devotional to read with your kids each day, this is my personal favorite! I had so many special memories with my sons as we read these and talked about the lessons. So much deep rooted growth has come from this book! I have to say, I have gifted this book to many families as well!
