Stop Trying, Start Trusting
These words impacted my heart on Sunday at church.
It was our first time meeting in person for over a year. For the last 54 weeks, church was online.
As a single mom, online church was very lonely. My heart had deeply missed worshipping and meeting with others, so this first week back was so special in many ways.
First, worship was incredible, and my eyes teared up as I loudly sang WayMaker with my hands in the air.
Second, Pastor Rick’s words were an answer to my prayer. I had been asking for wisdom on God’s Timing.
His words, “Stop Trying, Start Trusting” were exactly what I needed to hear.
Maybe you need to hear these words too.
In Habakkuk 2:3, it says, “At the appointed time that I have decided, everything I’ve planned will happen. You can trust what I say about the future, but it won’t happen all at once. In may seem that it’s taking a long time, but be patient and keep on waiting, because the vision will surely happen.”
Friend, God’s Timing is always perfect.
It is never rushed and is usually slower than what we would want. However, it is always perfect for the plans He has for us!
Pastor Rick also said, “Delay is for a purpose of a bigger miracle.”
This statement really resonated with me. What if God’s delay is because He has bigger plans and a bigger miracle for your life?
I don’t know about you, but I want to learn to wait well. If I am honest, this is a huge struggle for me.
Today, I pray that God will help both you and me wait well! I am praying that we can stop trying and start trusting that God has a plan and in His perfect timing, it will come to fruition.
Love, Jodi
