A Special Thank You to Veterans

I am so proud of my dad!  He served our country as a United States Marine! 

Growing up, he taught me the Marine Corp hymn and Semper Fi.  But what I learned most was the pride my dad had for our country.  When the National Anthem played, he would salute the flag with honor! 

I love that he continued to pass along this wisdom to my kids!  When my son was in Cub Scouts, I remember my dad speaking to the boys about patriotism and his service as a Marine.  It was a special night!  The boys were captivated by his stories, and I will never forget the smile on his face as he proudly shared.

 As we celebrate Veteran’s Day today, I want to thank all the men and women who have served in our military and sacrificed so much for our freedom.  You truly are heroes, and we honor you today!  Thank you for your service to our country!

To my dad, thank you for your service to our country and for teaching my boys and me about patriotism and honor.  We are so proud of you!
