252. Doing Life With Your Adult Children Book Recommendation
Listen now:
Do you have adult children? Maybe like me, you have a college student. My youngest son graduated high school last year and went away to college, so I am officially an empty nester. Maybe you have a child who just graduated college and is now adulting. This happened for me too.
I am excited to share with you this amazing book I read, *Doing Life With Your Adult Children by Jim Burns. The subtitle is Keep your mouth shut and the welcome mat out. This book is a must read if you have adult children! I have found it to be so helpful.
One of things I love is that he talks about how our role as parents has changed. He says, “The role you play in your children’s lives must diminish in order for them to transition from adolescence to responsible adulthood.” On the podcast this week, I will be sharing four strategies to help you embrace your new job description, and I know these will help you as you parent your adult children!
